What to do in an emergency
1. Call Us!
There is no substitute for the correct advice. The sooner you are seen, the sooner you will feel better.
2. Hot v Cold
Many people’s first reaction to pain is to apply heat packs or cold compresses to the area. As a rule of thumb, if you are suffering from a new or sudden onset of pain, applying a cold pack to reduce early inflammation is best.
If you have an old (chronic) injury, the application of warmth to improve circulation and loosen tissues is preferred.
